Neosilk® Human-Type CollagenⅢ, a recombinant protein which is produced using by transgenic silkworms expressed 515 amino acid residue at C-terminal of a triple-helical domain of human typeⅢ collagen α1(Ⅲ) chain. TypeⅢ collagen exists in skin and blood vessels, and it has been considered that TypeⅢcollagen makes more flexibility in tissues as it forms fibers much finer than typeⅠcollagen. It has been also known that typeⅢ collagen exists much more in skin of infant, and the ratio of typeⅢ collagen to type I collagen is decreased by aging. (Refer to the reference) So that typeⅢ collagen is also called as “baby collagen”.
As this product is purified from cocoons of transgenic silkworms, it does not contain animal-derived proteins and also any preservative.
