We have released #27267 Human GPIHBP1 Autoantibody Assay Kit - IBL.

GPIHBP1 (Glycosylphosphatidylinositol anchored high density lipoprotein binding protein 1)
is an anchor protein that is modified by glycolipid and it has been known that it exists on a capillary endothelial cell membrane and involves with metabolism of triglyceride rich (TG-rich) lipoprotein (triglyceride).

Similar to LPL, it has been considered that GPIHBPI also plays an important role in the metabolism of TG-rich lipoprotein.

Recently, it has been reported that autoantibodies against GPIHBP1 exist in the blood of patients with hypertriglyceridemia in which no genetic defects nor mutations
and the GPIHBP1 autoantibodies are one of the causes of hypertriglyceridemia.

Both 27179 GPIHBP1 mass and 27267 GPIHBP1 autoantibody ELISA will be useful tool for research of unknown hypertriglyceridemia.
