In signal transduction system, IκB acts as inhibitor to forms complex with NF-κB in cytoplasm and subsequently to inactivate NF-κB. NF-κB is transcription factor distributed in various cells. NF-κB is considered to control various gene expression by degradation of IκB and subsequent translocation of degradation products to nuclear in accordance with various stimulation.
