LipoSEARCH is a patented lipoprotein profiling service based on a Gel Permeation HPLC.

What kind of data can I get?
✔   Both Cholesterol (Cho) and Triglyceride (TG).
✔   4 major (CM, VLDL, LDL and HDL) + 20 sub-classes by size.
✔   Particle Size and Particle Number (PN)

What is the remarkable feature?
✔   Accurate and Detailed
✔   Only 45μL (Human)* and 35μL (Animals) are required.

* It is not often phenomenon but, reanalysis might be required depending on samples such as a chyle sample. We recommend you to send us ≧100μL (Human) for such requirement if possible. We do not charge for the sample failed to be analyzed due to deficiency of actual sample volume for reanalysis.

    A.Please keep samples at -80C. Although one freeze-thaw cycle is acceptable, the repeated cycles will affect the data.

    A.A clear peak appears for hemolysis after HDL and the peak usually does not affect the calculation of HDL data.

LipoSEARCH is a HPLC based lipoprotein analyzing service for providing the concentration, size of 4 major classes and its sub-classes in details through the process of lipoprotein separation and enzymatic reaction by a post column. We do not provide any services for separating and collecting lipoprotein.

    Q.What kind of plasma sample can be used?
  • Answer
    A.Any plasma samples (EDTA-plasma, citrate-plasma and heparin-plasma) which are collected by blood collection tubes coated anticoagulants can be used.
    However, postheparin plasma (intravenous heparin) cannot be used.

    Q.Is cell culture supernatant applicable for analysis by LipoSEARCH?
  • Answer
    A.Yes. The volume is required more than 250µL for the analysis.
  • Question
    Q.Is it possible to analyze cell culture supernatants in 96-well plates?
  • Answer
    A.No it is not applicable. Please prepare your samples in micro tubes.
  • Question
    Q.Can samples derived from genetically modified cells be analyzed by LipoSEARCH?
  • Answer
    A.No. Such samples (including virus-infected cells) are not acceptable.
  • Question
    Q.Can samples inactivated by surfactants be analyzed by LipoSEARCH?
  • Answer
    A.No. because it is difficult to obtain accurate data with the samples containing surfactants.
    There is also a risk for damaging the analytical system if we run the system with such samples.
